Review, change history, and versions

Check the document, trace every change, and keep named versions and revisions.

Chapters · 1:29

Three tools on the right side of a document help you keep an FMEA in shape: Review checks it, Change History records every edit, and Version History keeps named snapshots and formal revisions.

Review

Review checks the whole document step by step. Results are grouped into issues, warnings, and passed items, with a count for each item. Expand an item and click a target to jump straight to that element on the canvas, for example an element that is not yet linked to a higher level.

Change History

Change History records who created or changed what, and when. Filter it by revision, period, element type, or editor. Each entry shows which field changed, and from what value to what value.

Version History

  • Commit: save the current state under a name. Commit at meaningful moments, such as when a review is finished.
  • Compare: expand a commit to see what was added, changed, and deleted since the previous one. You can roll back to an earlier version if needed.
  • Confirm Revision: record a formal revision submitted to a customer. It is kept with its revision number, date, and author, and fills in the revision date of the report.
